Sleep is not a side project for me. It is the whole point of everything I do here.

I started The Green Bed Store because I could not stop thinking about what most of us are actually sleeping on and what it is quietly doing to our health. It started with my own restless nights. I began researching sleep, the way I research most things I care about, obsessively and down every rabbit hole I could find. What I discovered led me somewhere the mattress industry would rather you not look. Synthetic foams. Chemical flame retardants. Materials that offgas night after night in the room where your body is supposed to be recovering.

The uncomfortable truth is that most of the mattress industry is built on smoke and mirrors. Big comfort claims, small print, and a lot swept under the rug.

I decided to do something about it.

Every product I carry starts with a simple question. Would I sleep on it myself? If the answer is yes, I dig deeper. I research the materials, check for third party certifications, and use everything personally before it earns a place on my shelves. My promise to you is straightforward. Nothing I sell will ever offgas or make you sick. Not ever.

I am based in Squamish, BC, and I could not imagine a better home for this store. This is a community of people who think carefully about what they bring into their homes and their lives. That mindset runs through everything I do here.
