Forest Standard Foundation

Support your mattress and extend its lifespan with a Forest foundation, handmade to order in Ottawa, Canada. Built from sustainably sourced, untreated Quebec wood, it is upholstered in organic cotton jersey and padded with organic wool.

Choose a 4-inch or 8-inch foundation height, with solid maple round legs or without legs for use inside an existing bed frame. King and California King foundations always come in a horizontal split system of two pieces (see image 5).

Construction and features

• Solid slatted construction with 2-inch-wide wood slats promotes airflow, temperature regulation and reduced moisture buildup.
• Slightly recessed round maple legs provide stable support and reduce toe bumps.
• Constructed using nails instead of glue.
• Soft organic cotton jersey matches the fabric used on Forest mattresses.
• Minimal assembly: attach the legs.
• Suitable for all Forest mattresses and other mattresses.

Assembly and care

• Use all provided legs as instructed.
• Without legs, use a sturdy bed frame with center support; center support is required for Double, Queen and King sizes.
• Do not place directly on the floor without legs.
• Do not allow the foundation to get wet; do not stand or jump on it.
• Spot clean only with mild soap and minimal water.
